Hello beautiful people!
Let’s be real for a minute…many of us always have some goals for the new year and things we want to change in our life for the better, but, most people don’t stick to it, that is why they make the same ones every year lol!! I am choosing to not set “resolutions” for the year, but I do have some things I will improve on.
I believe it starts with habits…we need new habits that help us get to the ultimate goal. Say for instance, you want to lose weight, you should get in the habit of planning what you will eat everyday. The next component is discipline…make yourself stick to what you want (this is where I drive the struggle bus hard!!!) I think the third thing to help, is accountability, find a buddy that will make it into a friendly competition that will benefit both of you. I am mainly writing this to myself today!! I have some major goals I want to see come to fruition this year, and I know what I need to do. I am going to start by putting these three words on sticky notes around my house, studio, and in my car…habits, discipline, and accountability and take them seriously.
What are some goals that you will reach this year? What will be your reward to yourself when you reach them? I feel that is important as well and I have several different things that I am going to give myself for different milestones I reach…they include a boudoir shoot with one of my favorite photographers (you didn’t think I was going to write and NOT throw something about boudoir in here did you, haha), another tattoo (sorry, not sorry hubby), a me day that includes a massage and mani/pedi, and a day trip to somewhere new. I am the kind of person I have to have something to look forward to, these rewards are also going to be placed in conspicuous places for me too!
